A friend brought food prepared by the Shadow Chef to NYC recently and I ate food from TSC at a wedding a few months ago. Both times the food was scrumptious. The macaroni pie (macaroni and cheese) is to die for and the jerk wings, rice and beans, and grilled vegetables were delicious. I had macaroni pie left over, so I froze it. I’m taking a little bit out at a time to preserve it for as long as possible! It would be great if TSC would deliver to NYC, because I would order regularly.
I used the Shadow chef to order my oxtail platter for a Thanksgiving Potluck. The process is easy and the website is easy to navigate. When I put the wrong expiration date on the form, Ms. Gillian called me bright and early to get it corrected. Their customer is amazing and courteous. I will always recommend them and the food was to die for. Did I mention they did my wedding. The food was all the rage. Thanks Shadow Chef.
Delicious food and excellent service. Easy to select, order, and arrange delivery. Perfect for my smaller business gathering but with all of the professionalism and quality as I'd expect for a larger, formal event!
We had an enjoyable home poolside event, featuring the Caribbean cuisine of The Shadow Chef. The website is lovely, the customer service is phenomenal, the delivery personable, AND THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! Try the favorites and best sellers. Our guests especially raved about the calypso wings, macaroni pie, and rum punch. Looking forward to thrilling our taste buds again.
We had The Shadow Chef cater my Mom's 70th Birthday for 100 people, and everyone loved it! The attendees raved about the food, including the Curry Chicken, Curry Shrimp, Curried Chana, Jerk Chicken, Hawaiian Vegan Meatballs, Pigeon Peas & Rice, Spinach Salad with Strawberries and Raspberry Vinaigrette, and more! I cannot say enough, good things about my experience with the shadow chef! We utilize them for our baby shower, and the service was absolutely stellar! Not to mention, the food wow! I received so many compliments about how tasteful and delicious the food was. We are so looking forward to utilizing them again in the future.
The food was EXCELLENT!!! 5/5 for service, delivery, and taste. We will be ordering from them again for future events. We hosted a Bridal Shower for 20 guests. Our order included the following: - Cocktail Jamaican Patty Assortment -Pigeon Peas and Rice -Curried Channa (Curried Chick Peas) -Cod Fish Balls w/ Tamarind Sauce -Grilled Chicken Kabobs -Fried Sweet Plantain -Coco Bread The guest loved every single item. However, the patties, plantain, curried chick peas, and coco bread were the stars. There were barely any leftovers.
Excellent jerk turkey prepared and seasoned so well. My family looks forward to having the jerk turkey every holiday, Christmas and Thanksgiving. It's usually gone by the second day. The Shadow Chef created an absolutely amazing Thanksgiving meal for my friends and me! Every single dish was delicious and perfectly prepared — from the Candied Yams, Pigeon Peas & Rice, and Cornbread Stuffing to the Macaroni Pie, Cranberry Relish, and Collard Greens. The jerk turkey was tender, flavorful, and unforgettable. The coco bread was soft and fresh, and the bread pudding with real rum sauce was a massive hit — our guests are still talking about it. The passion fruit juice was another standout and made for the perfect mocktail or cocktail mixer. They served our group magnificently. My guests were so happy and raved about the food all night. We’re already excited to use The Shadow Chef again for future events. Highly recommend!
